Milwaukee County Stadium

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so it should come as no surprise to you that County Stadium is my favorite ball park of them all. It is the place where I saw my first game. It is where I saw my favorite Brewers play, like Yount, Aaron, Molitor, Cooper and Fingers. County Stadium is also where I started my autograph collecting.

Getting autographs outside County Stadium can be easy. While the players parking lot is fenced in, they have to walk about 25 yards from the lot to their entrance. Most of the Brewer players that I have ever dealt with are good, if not great, signers in person. This is how I got my dozens of Yount, Molitor and Higuera autographs.

When you are inside the stadium you can stand next to either team's dugout to get your items autographed. Usually a few Brewers will always come over to sign for the fans.

This is County Stadium's last year. I am glad that the Brewers are getting a new home, Miller Park. Still I will be very sad the day my favorite place gets torn down. There is one positive in this for me: I bought my old seats and I will be sitting in them at home when ever I get to feeling nostalgic.
